The Heron LTD company was established in 2004 with a main activity of raising and fattening 20 000 Mulard (or Moulard) ducks annually.

In 2005 the firm established a forage department of its own and increased its production to 100 000 Mulard ducks annually.

In 2013 a new modern facility was built and started operating, meeting all European requirements for raising 350 000 Mulard ducks annually.

To meet the demands of the constantly developing market, as well as to control the entire chain from raising the birds up to the final product, in 2014 we built a slaughterhouse of our own, Heron Trade LTD BG 2402008 EO, with a capacity of 5000 birds slaughtered daily.

The establishment uses modern equipment from leading European companies.
The slaughterhouse has been approved to offer goods to the common European market.

It has established an HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) system and is the holder of IFS and Halal certificates.
